Ace of Wands

Interpretations

Something incredible has begun or is about to begin. One can feel raw energy sprouting from within and can direct that energy any way they want.
Pursue passion.
The soil is fertile, and anything one plants will grow.
Guaranteed growth, however, does not mean guaranteed results.
An invitation to better oneself.
No outlet with which one can express their energy and passion.
Is there no purpose to life?
Frustrating delays in growth.

Two of Wands

Striving for success and power.
A decision one must make.
The previous path one has taken was not the correct one.
Lack of planning or strategies. “A goal without a plan is just a wish”.
A harder decision one must make.
Reluctance to explore the world.

Three of Wands

Interpretations

Readiness to what comes ahead.
Travel.
Reluctance to leave one’s current situation.
A failed journey into the unknown. But nevertheless a necessary step.
Roadblock.
Overcommitment.

Four of Wands

Interpretations

Thankfulness. Show loved ones they are loved. Celebrate achievements.
Return to the familiar.

Inner balance.
Once firm foundations may be shaking.
Loss of one’s foundations.

Five of Wands

Modern Witch: Each of the girls is wearing a different flavors of Sukeban outfits, two of them being high school students. Suggesting the fight is only happening so they will look cool.

Interpretations

Fight! Fight! Fight!
Fierce opposition stands between one and their objective.
Everyone wants to be heard, but no one is listening. Someone needs to calm the fuck down to solve the situation.
Friends and partners productively challenging each other.
Learning to deal with people different from oneself.
A group needs to put their shit together to fight a common enemy.
Internal conflict. Maybe fueled by external opinions.
Conflict aversion.
De-escalation of an existing conflict.

Six of Wands

Interpretations

An important milestone has been reached.
Recognition for one’s achievements.
Shout at the top of one’s lungs about their success! Throw a Triumph!
Pride. Belief in oneself.
However, It’s not the end of the line
Keeping the achievement of an important milestone to oneself.
Comparing oneself to others. One should create their own definition of success.
Fall from grace. One has fucked up bad.
Arrogance. Self-centeredness.

Seven of Wands

Interpretations

One must stand their ground in the face of opposition. “It’s over, Anakin! I have the high ground.”
Others want to usurp one’s success.
Haters gonna hate. Recalque. One is the subject of others’ envy.
Defending one’s point of view in a public setting. “From my point of view, the Jedi are evil!”
One should believe in their strength to stand ground.
External pressure and conflict are weighing on one’s spirit.
A toxic/abusive environment.
One can never please everyone.

Eight of Wands

The currents are rushing towards the sea and one can keep the pace if one doesn’t think too much.

Don’t wait around.
Do it! Don’t let your dreams be dreams!
Traveling.
One is moving too fast. Slow down.
Things are going too fast. Wait up.
One is resisting change.
Delays to one’s plans.

Nine of Wands

Interpretations

Even in adversity one stands tall. Daredevil. “I can do this all day”.
If one feels battered, it’s part of the battle.
One is so close to the end, all they need to do is keep pushing.
One needs not to fight alone.
One should better establish one’s boundaries to better defend themselves from harm.
One is close to the finish line but is so tired they want to give up.
Solitude. All one does is fight and there is no recognition. No one to share the fruits of their labor.
Paranoia. Building walls to keep other people away.

Ten of Wands

Interpretations

One might be willing to do extra work in spite of how tired they are.
Burn out. One cannot even see the fruits of their labor.
The final stretch of an arduous project.
One carrying weight that is not theirs to bear.
One carrying weight they don’t need to carry by themselves.
One carrying weight they don’t need to carry at all.

Knight of Wands

Impulsive and impatient. Act first, think later.
Hubris. Foolishness. One must remember they are not immortal.
Pursuit of the small things in life.
Excess energy.
Short-term thinking will get one nowhere.
Particularly destructive impulsivity.

Queen of Wands

Inspiring. Natural-born leader. At ease with being the center of attention.
Coming to peace with one’s shadow. Using it in one’s favor.
Can represent an older trans woman.
Still a queen, but more reserved. Inward facing power.
Worrying too much about what others think of you.

King of Wands
